World Health Organisation (WHO)

Health for all is the main aim of the World Health Organisation that was established in 1948 with its headquarters at Geneva(Switz). Its constitution defines health as a state of complete physical,mental and social ell being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Main Functions of WHO:

1) It helps the member states to reinfoce theit health system including building of infrastructure,development of human resources and provision of essential drugs.
2)It provides effective immunisation of children from major diseases.
3)Aids and HIV control.
